Thank You Seattle!

Well, it’s been a whirlwind past few days but I’m very pleased to report that “PLAY!” killed in Seattle! Conductor Andy Brick, the Seattle Symphony and Choir along with guest vocalist Aubrey Ashburn delivered some of the best moments in the concert’s history on June 21st and 22nd.

Between the gasps, hooting and hollering, it was easy to hear how much the audience loved it. Chad Seiter’s new arrangements for “Super Mario,” “Castlevania,” “The Legend of Zelda,” “Metroid,” Halo,” and of course, the encore, Terra’s Theme from “Final Fantasy VI” were a knockout and the Seattle players delivered! Aubrey Ashburn’s performance for Inon Zur’s “Dragon Age 2” was a rare treat for fans. Behind the scenes, director Anthony Pagano called the shots while producer Jeron Moore handled the video assist, both keeping everything together.

As for the segments I edited, “Mario,” “Castlevania,” and “Metroid” seemed to get the audience really pumped up! I think they did their job…but we’re going to do some tweaking anyway! I owe Jeron a really big thanks in being a great producer and providing me not only a guiding hand on how he wanted the video, but a “crash course” in editing for PLAY! The second night, I was back of house with the technical team helping him out with video assist. Definitely a different perspective, but an awesome time none the less!

Like I said, it’s been a whirlwind! A huge thanks again to Jeron for bringing me on. It’s been a pleasure and I’ll see you all again soon! It was great seeing everyone again and meeting new people! You all rocked!

I’ll add some more pics soon!
